Jack & Sadie by J.B. Salsbury

Jack & Sadie
Emotionally heart-wrecking and heart-warming, Jack & Sadie's story pulls beauty out of pain and gifts a well-earned happily ever after.

Jack was a hard one for me at first because who he ended up growing up to be and some of the decisions he made was unexpected, and it took me a little bit to drop my preconceived ideas. Although when I dug deeper under the surface, Jack is still the Jack I expected - Blake Daniel's son who is a fighter, who has drive and determination, and doesn't give in easily, even as much as he had a few growing-up mistakes thrown in there. But in the end, he proved himself to be worthy of his Sadie's love and got himself back on track to chase down their forever dream together. I loved how much once Jack figured out Sadie had slipped through his fingers, he went all out to get her back in his arms (even as much as some things made me cringe and drove my anxiety through the roof).

Sadie is mine.
She always has been and she always will be.
Nothing will change that.
I won’t let it.

Sadie. That girl. Her side of the story broke my heart over and over again. But despite her feeling broken and lost, there was still an intense inner strength to her that gave her exactly what she needed to survive the storms and make her way through to the good stuff. I understood the choices she made and the ones she felt she had no choice but to go with, but man, I sure wanted to wrap her up tight in a hug and protect her (or allow her to allow others to lol) from the pain that accompanied them. But her strength also gave her exactly what she needed in the end.

I always feel safe with you, Jack.

When his hands are on me, I feel safe, cherished, and like I'm the only woman he's ever seen.

There was so much beauty in Jack and Sadie reconnecting as adults and figuring out just exactly what it was in life that was worthy of pursuit. And even through the pain dished out, the resulting beauty made it mean that much more.

Loved getting to see a few glimpses of Jonah and Raven, Blake and Layla, and I adore the love they showed for their kids, whether tough love or soft love. I wanted to revisit their stories as soon as I finished reading this book just so I didn't have to say goodbye quite yet (as their stories are some of my most favs from the Fighting series and it's been a while since I've visited them).

I wonder, did you and my dad go to the same school for overprotective and bossy men?

This book felt like the pretty bow to wrap up an adored gift (Jonah and Blake's stories) and is definitely one fans will not want to pass up.

Fighting for Forever by JB Salsbury

Fighting for Forever is JB Salsbury at her finest!! I think this is my favorite book of her's to date, and that's saying something seeing my intense love for her fighters and their women- especially Jonah and Raven (Fighting for Flight) and Blake and Layla (Fighting to Forgive/A Father's Fight)!

I took all week after it was released to slowly savor their story -- and I'm so glad I did. It was amazing, and I definitely didn't want to reach the ending too quickly! I just wanted to stay submerged in their world as long as possible.

I fell for both Mason and Trix hard. Their interactions and relationship grew so beautifully. J.B. delivered on all the feels: giggles, swoons, growls, tears, lack of breathing.... Every time I turned the page I felt something deeper and stronger. You go into the story with one idea, start reading it and change your mind, then throughout keep realizing that there's a few more twists and turns to discover.

Mason and Trix's story is definitely not one to miss!!

Yet again, J.B. Salsbury has totally encompassed me into her world and given me nuggets of goodness to bring back.

This is an amazing follow-up and new HEA for Blake and Layla!! JB pulled all sorts of emotions from me - from laughter to tears, from anxiousness to joyfulness! The love and strength Blake and Layla hold for each other is overpowering.

This is a beautiful story you do not want to miss!! I couldn't have asked for anything better!!

Fighting the Fall by JB Salsbury

 (Fighting, #4)

Wow! I'm still at a loss for words on how much I loved this book! JB Salsbury succeeded yet again in pulling and twisting my heart strings in all directions!!! I sunk deep into Cam and Eve's story and didn't want to be let out. Watching and experiencing how their story unfolds, with all the heart ache and smiles just did me in.

I also enjoyed how this story fit in with the rest of the series and gave us glimpses of our other favorite couples.

Fighting to Forget by JB Salsbury

 (Fighting, #3)

Jamie's done it again!!! She's sucked me into her UFL world with Fighting for Flight and Fighting to Forgive and I don't want to ever leave!! Finally, after a long (to me) wait, she's drawn me back with Fighting for Forget and yet again, I don't want to leave.

Rex and Mac/Gia both broke my heart in so many ways - I was already crying and emotionally broken before the prologue was over!! This story has a totally different feel than the first two books in the stories. It touches on some deep issues that I think while we know about them, we don't always consider how the evil affects others. Jamie provides just enough details about Rex and Mac's history and emotional struggles that you feel everything they go through and want to just hold them both close to protect and comfort them.

I loved being there as they finally got together and started building their relationship - and I broke about half way through. There is a beautiful HEA, but the journey there is crazy hard. Add in a few interesting twists that I wasn't expecting and the story is complete!

This book has a permanent place on my favorites shelf. Love it, love it, love it!!!

After reading Fighting for Flight and meeting Blake, I couldn't wait to read his book and glad I didn't have too long to wait.

Jamie continues to create a detailed UFL world and keeps me hooked in deep from the first page to the end. You can tell how real these characters are to her and see how much she loves them and teaches us to love them just as much!

Layla captured my heart from the beginning - I couldn't imagine living through what she experienced and staying as strong and put together as she was - and raising a daughter on her own. My heart broke for Blake's childhood history, but it made him grow into the man he was, so despite the pain, it was worth it. Blake's protective instincts and his desire to take care of Layla and her daughter catches early and doesn't give up, even when it appears to.

I love watching how Blake and Layla learn that they need to forgive others as well as themselves to be able to move forward and allow healing to happen. There's some deep issues touched on here, along with some great truths (love and forgiveness) that's expressed hand-in-hand with the romance story. This made me feel so many emotions as I was reading it.

Yet again, Jamie's written a book that'll remain on my favorites shelf and be re-read over and over again!

I wasn't sure whether I'd like a book about a MMA fighter, but this book intrigued me (along with the book cover - it definitely caught my eye). I'm so glad I took the chance because I've fallen in love with the world that Jamie created around her UFL guys and the girls they claim.

Jamie drew me into the heart of the story from the first page and kept me involved through to the end. I didn't want it to end!

Jonah and Raven are two of my favorite characters ever. Jonah's devotion to Raven and how he worked through his fears in having a real relationship and how he took care of Raven was beautiful. Raven's sweet honesty, her vulnerability and her strength shined through every page. I loved that they talked through their misunderstandings and that they worked through things instead of letting the drama fester and turn into something overblown.

This book will stay on my favorite shelf and be re-read often!! I strongly recommend if you even *think* you might be interested in it, just start reading! You'll be addicted too!

Flight Forward by Piper Reagan

Fun little fan fiction story based off one of my favorite books in the Fighting Series.

I loved how this story tied into the series as it exists, and how we get to see Katherine find her deserved hea after raising her family and losing her first love. Cute cute cute!!!
