The Football Pants Chronicles by Tessa Bailey

The Football Pants Chronicles

Quirky, cute, steamy hot and even a touch inspiring. Tessa rocked the whole dirty-talking football fanfic challenge. Loved Lizzy and AJ's insta-love story.

Listened on the Read Me Romance podcast, and looking forward to the ebook -- I got some highlights and bookmarks to make! ha!

Up in Smoke by Tessa Bailey

(Crossing the Line, #2)

Loved watching the sparks fly between Connor and Erin!! One of my top favs of Tessa's books (her Line of Duty and Crossing the Line Series books all seem to rock the best for me). And I loved getting to see more of Derek and the peek into his and Ginger's lives.

Risking it All by Tessa Bailey

 (Crossing the Line, #1)

OH MY GOODNESS!! I stayed up way late at night to finish up Bowen and Sera's story and I was speechless!!! AMAZING!!! Risking It All is one of Tessa's best ever!! She's definitely risen the bar with this one!

Bowen and Sera's book sucked me in from the first sentence and kept me intensely enthralled. Tessa wove their story to where I felt everything... *everything* they felt - I felt Sera's desire to succeed and prove herself, Bowen's desire to protect and honor his girl, Sera's struggle with her brother's death, and Bowen's struggle to do what he knows or feels is right.

The emotions, drama, excitement, and hot and spicy moments were perfectly balanced. Bowen's dirty talk.... well, let's just say, Tessa knows how to make her men talk, and Bowen took advantage and then some!

Loved getting to have some more time with Troy and Ruby (His Risk to Take and Riskier Business) and the surprise ending I wasn't expecting: our favorite Lieutenant turned Captain Derek Tyler!! EEK! Hope we get to see even more of Derek as the series continues!

If you enjoyed any of Tessa's previous books, you'll be sure to love this. If you like a bad boy (anti-hero type), you'll love this. If you just like a fun and sweet and sexy and hot story - do not pass this up!!

Thanks, Tessa Bailey for another amazing story! Bowen and Sera will always have a special place in my heart!

Riskier Business by Tessa Bailey

(Crossing the Line, #0.5)

Absolutely love how Troy and Ruby's HEA finished up in this sequel novella!!! You know it's good story telling when even though your head knows what the author will or won't do (or better never ever do!), you still are on pins and needles through all the twist and turns and excitement! The intense love and loyalty they have for each other is beautiful. Besides getting an awesome 2nd tale with this couple, I also adored getting to see glimpses of a couple of our previous favorite couples from the Line of Duty series - and a hint of what's to come with a certain Mr. Bowen Driscol.

You cannot go wrong with a Tessa Bailey book - any Tessa book!

Unfixable by Tessa Bailey

As with every other book of Tessa's, this is one beautiful, fun, hot, dirty ride of a book!! I woke up with my kindle by my head because I just couldn't put it down last night!

I have so many favorite scenes and clips of Shane and Willa's story! Watching the way they fought against the pull of each other - and then raced toward each other - {deep breath} SIGH!!! wow! I enjoyed being in Willa's head and loved seeing how her photography moved her. Experiencing how Shane pushed and encouraged Willa to just be Willa, and took care of his family - my heart melted! But Shane also knew how to wring the shivers out of me too: Having to chase you only makes me want to pin you down. Um, ok!! (but I'll still fight it just to make that pin worth it! haha!)

Another one of my favorite things about this book, catching up with Derek and Ginger from Protecting What's His - one of my favorite couples ever! Ginger's love and advice and encouragement to Willa brought tears to my eyes, and Derek just being Derek... sigh! Couldn't have been better! Loved seeing their family grow and Derek's response to that.

Tessa - it's awesome knowing how near and dear to your heart Willa and Shane are - and you shared their story with us perfectly! I love the experience you gifted to us! Thank you!!

Off Base by Tessa Bailey

Army Alpha Virgin Hero? I was afraid the excitement was larger than reality... but com'on... this is Tessa Bailey we're talking about! ha! She totally pulled all the stops out with Beck and nailed every one! I have way too many bits and pieces highlighted -- he was the perfect balance of alpha male hear-me-roar and teach me what works. Beck and Kenna were an awesome treat to discover! Loved their story -- short, and while I would have loved more (and more and more), it definitely worked for me!

Off to read Huntley and Cullen's part by Sophie Jordan....

~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~

I had the chance to read Sophie Jordan's story about Huntley and Cullen. I loved how Tessa and her tied the stories in together. I enjoyed watching Huntley and Cullen's relationship grow from being friends to more, to knowing and accepting that more is ok. Definitely a hot and sweet story!

Make Me by Tessa Bailey

(Broke and Beautiful, #3)

I think I knew from the beginning that Russell and Abby would end up being my favorite couple of the B&B series -- and I'm so pleased to see that Tessa proved me right! They both warmed my heart so much - Russell with his gruff-down-to-earth self and Abby with her sweet, innocent, strong self. There was a bit more angst in it than what I normally prefer in my stories, but the heart and the epilogue totally made up for it! Love how the series tied up!

Chase Me by Tessa Bailey

 (Broke and Beautiful, #1)

Tessa appears to be switching things up with her new Broke and Beautiful series. While Chase Me definitely has her expected dirty-talkin' hero and sassy-lovin' heroine, there's a different feel to the book - more giggles and light-hearted moments abound.

Roxy displays an appealing mix of tough-independent girl and softly-sweet girl. No matter how strong and independent she wants to be, you can't help but want to wrap her up and help her out. (huh.... sound familiar??? Louis???)

Louis is the first lawyer (book character) who I remember liking right away. Even though he was rather smart, he definitely still enacted a couple really dumb moments. However, Louis totally redeemed himself in my book with how he chased Roxy down and how quickly he came to acknowledge that Roxy was under his skin. He was completely drawn to her and Roxy ensured she wasn't going to make it easy, hence, the chase. And isn't that part half the fun anyways?? I also loved how he dealt with the females in his life - he obviously has a very caring, loving heart.

Tessa did a great job in keeping the tension and excitement going, but not making the drama over-the-top or annoying. I look forward to her next addition to this series, and based off the hints dropped, I'm hoping for a certain college-attending roommate of Roxy's to find her HEA soon....

If you're looking for a sweet fun read - you don't want to miss this!!

Driven by Fate by Tessa Bailey

(Serve, #5)

Tessa delivers another fun Serve novel bringing Frankie and Porter to life for us.

I love Frankie's strength and Porter's protectiveness. And the times they were on the same page... hold on tight!! LOVE!! Porter delivers the expected dirty talk, and Frankie provides the almost innocent, but sometimes saucy personality.

I struggled a bit with connecting with them as much as I usually connect with Tessa's characters. I haven't been able to exactly pin down why, just that I didn't get as attached to them as I had hoped, and as I usually fall for Tessa's characters. That being said, I still enjoyed escaping into their story. You can't go wrong with a Tessa Bailey book.

I loved the surprise cameo appearance by one of my favorite cops whenever Frankie picks up her last fare when Porter was riding along!!

Exposed by Fate by Tessa Bailey

(Serve, #2)

Tessa has crafted another fun, sexy, sweet, beautiful story, bringing us Oliver and Eliza. I was swept away by Oliver in the first book in the series and was thrilled to discover his story was next - and was not disappointed in what I got! As much as I enjoyed the first book in the Serve series, Oliver and Eliza completely stole first place in my heart! It'll be interesting to see what happens with the next book...

It was a fun change of pace to get a story like this. Eliza makes a deal with Oliver to educate her in some.... bedroom activities, choosing to believe that despite their attraction, no strings would get attached. Watching the two dance around each other from the very start and work through their feelings was a sweet trip. I loved seeing how Oliver cared for Eliza and how their feelings grew for each other.

This is a book not to be missed!!

Owned by Fate by Tessa Bailey

(Serve, #1)

Tessa Bailey is known for her dirty-mouthed bossy cops who we've all over-heated and melted for. Embarking into a new world filled with business men and women, she's made the heat get hotter!!

Holy smokes! Jonah and Caroline were yummy hot. Crazy hot. Flames burning up my kindle hot and making me take several cold showers hot. I really enjoyed reading a story where while there was instant attraction, the chase to win the girl was on for a good while. I loved being there with Caroline and seeing her struggle between attraction to Jonah and hesitation/confusion while being exposed to something way out of her comfort zone - it felt real. Jonah's struggle between wanting her, chasing her, needing her, and pushing her away captured my heart. I fell even harder for him with how responsible over her he felt - and how his desire to care for her was completely ingrained in him.

Tessa did an excellent job in cracking open the door to the bdsm world and merging her alpha dirty talkers into it without going over the top.

In sharing Owned By Fate with us, Tessa proves yet again why she's one of my top favorite authors - and will always have a permanent place there. She's yet to fail to deliver a good story to go along with all the spice in the sheets, or the bar, or the office, or the car.... I cannot wait to see who she brings us next!!

Baiting the Maid of Honor by Tessa Bailey

(Wedding Dare, #2)

Tessa Bailey has done it yet again! I don't think this woman can write anything that or about anyone who I will not fall head over heals for!!

In BTMOH, Tessa brings us Reed and Julie - one (very) dirty-talking man and one woman who I (in too many ways to feel comfortable) could identify with on so many levels. I'm thinking Reed might just have stolen the dirty-talking throne. :) He doesn't do the typical flowers and candlelight sweet, but his version of sweet is so much deeper and more meaningful. Julie works her rear off to make sure everyone around her is taken care of and shown that they matter, often to the neglect of herself - and Reed is shocked to discover that that is something he will not allow. And it goes without mentioning that the intimate scenes between Reed and Julie burn up the pages and make you long for a fan or a cold shower! The tension and the 'dance' of them learning that they are meant for each other was perfect - both taking, both giving, both falling...

This book will remain on my favorites and re-read shelves indefinitely! I highly recommend this book! It's a quick fun read that will leave you highly satisfied. :)

Asking for Trouble - Tessa Bailey

Line of Duty book 4

I have *no idea* why I was thinking when I first heard about this book that I wouldn't fall in love with Brent and Hayden - maybe because I tend to cringe at the whole enemies-to-lovers thing (while I like some conflict, I dislike tons of drama/conflict!) But have no fear, even though there were moments of drama, Tessa handled it superbly - and I never felt bogged down in it or wished that the book would end yesterday!

What ended up happening, as with all of Tessa's men, is I fell for Brent - the way he loves, cares, protects, and provides for his family and then Hayden. I think that's what I love about all of Tessa's heroes - they all have that same alpha gene that demands they do nothing less than protect, lead, and love on the people in their lives. Hmmmm... we actually need more real life men to stand up like that!

Staking His Claim - Tessa Bailey

Line of Duty book 5

Wow!!! What a ride!!! Tessa Bailey has done it again!! She's given us the last (oh so sad!) man in her Line of Duty series and Matt is just as amazing as the rest of the guys, even maybe stole first place in my heart (well, until I re-read one of her other books - they each take first as I read them!) Once I started reading Matt and Lucy's story, I couldn't put it down! Made for a late night, but I'm not complaining!!

I have always enjoyed Tessa's books - and love that she writes a dang good story and the intimate stuff fits in, not overwhelms. She's detailed, but leaves just enough to our imagination (to me, that's hotter than detailing every little bitty detail) to suck you in and keep you just on that edge... :)

I love how while there was a little conflict between Matt and Lucy, there was nothing that made me want to just scream and shake them to wake up and get over themselves. The sparks between the two - hot! And how Matt cared for Lucy - even hotter! I laughed, groaned, and got the shivers (yeah) throughout it all. And all that dirty talkin'....

No matter what this woman writes, I'll read it, and know that I'll love it. Just stop what you're doing and do yourself a treat and go get this now!

Officer off Limits - Tessa Bailey

Line of Duty book 3

Daniel and Story - gotta love them!

The way Story's father throws these two together (although they already had a run-in previously) was great! Neither of them saw it coming! Getting to see how Daniel went from being a playboy to being Story's alone was beautiful - the emotions, the conflict, the acceptance then action! Being there the moment Story realizes that she's already claimed Daniel and was ready to prove it to him - again, beautiful! I think this is more of a sweeter book than the others in this series, but that doesn't mean there's less HOT in it - because it's there in abundance (um, the pic text???)

Yet again, Tessa's characters have burrowed deep in my heart and won't let go!

His Risk to Take - Tessa Bailey

Line of Duty book 2

Every book of Tessa's is an auto buy for me - and an auto favorite! She's yet to disappoint me to anything less than a 5+ star rating!!!

Each book of hers I read, each hero becomes a favorite I think will never be topped - till I read the next one, or re-read a previous one!!

Loved this quick read (novella) about Troy and Ruby! (and I'm so thrilled to know there's a sequel coming out sometime in 2014!!) The intensive feelings from the moment they first see each other, to the first time Ruby goes to Troy's place (HOT HOT HOT! whew, I did need a fan!), to how Troy protects and pursues Ruby - all of them kept me entranced.

Protecting What's Theirs - Tessa Bailey

Line of Duty book 1.5

Well, it's a Tessa Bailey book, so I already knew I'd love it. :) Getting even more of a taste of Derek and Ginger (one of my most fav couples ever!) was perfect! There was just enough of a hint of conflict, but Derek definitely (once he got his rear into gear) took care of fixing what was broke, in the only (and perfectly hot and beautiful) way Derek can. :)

I think that to get the most enjoyment out of this book, you need to read Protecting What's His first so that you get more of the history - then you can really feel the heat and connection between the characters.

Protecting What's His - Tessa Bailey

Line of Duty book 1

Lt. Tyler was my first dirty talker (thanks, Tessa, for taking my dirty-talker virginity!) - and he'll always have a special place in my heart. I never got as many shivers and tingles reading a book as I did this one!

I loved seeing Ginger find herself as she dealt with taking care of her little sister, worked through her struggles with why they left Nashville, and seeing her slowly but surly fall in love with Derek. I adored how Derek pursued her and never gave up, and always remained himself.

I think my favorite part of the story (well, besides all of it) was the scene in the hospital when Ginger rushed there after getting a phone call about Derek's involvement in a shooting....

Love this book (and the audio version)!! Tessa will always be an immediate purchase for me!
