Raid by Kristen Ashley

Raid
This is my favorite of the Unfinished Hero series -- maybe because Raid is a ex-soldier (and that plays a more significant role in this story) or because Hanna is just so awesome and small-town down to earth? Either way, this is my most re-read and enjoyed out of the whole series.

I love how cute and sweet and Sussie-Home-Maker Hanna is, and I love how big, dangerous, strong, and determined Raid is. Love the family dynamics and the bit of adventure and cameos included. There was also some body-image encouragement/themes included that really, really touched my heart, so maybe that's another reason why this one is special.

The Survivor by Cristin Harber

Whew, I need a moment to catch my breath after this story!

A roller coaster ride of bountiful laughter, intriguing puzzles, and breath-twisting moments weave seamlessly together to deliver a powerful story.

Cristin Harber worked her wordsmith magic again by building a world and lulling her readers into a false sense of comfortable and then just BOOM blowing it all up and piecing it back together better than imagined - repeatedly.

Both Hagan and Amanda had histories that brought me to tears multiple times. I loved how they met and the games they played getting to know the other, even as much as their games were real and honest. I connected to Amanda with some of her fears and struggles, and admired her mix of quiet and loud strength, and battered but brave heart. Her smarts and (good) attitude shined off the page. I adored Hagan's sense of protectiveness and respect, his fierce love for his family and those in his life and his determination to dig in and get deep. I enjoyed falling in love with both of them as they fell for each other and exposed more of themselves.

Then, there's Boss Man. I think he put forth a good effort to steal the show at moments, but they were always perfect timing. The camaraderie shown within the team and Jared's own brand of tough-*ss tlc still gets to me every time. Love it!

The Survivor rocked my world, packing a powerful emotional punch, and gave me more than just a enjoyable escape. Definitely a terrific addition to the ACES series and the TITAN world in general. Reading each new story in the Titan world feels like a warm welcome home that I never want to leave.

Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley

Sweet Dreams
Oh my goodness! I cannot count anymore how many times I've revisited Carnal with Tate and Laurie! They definitely hold a top 3 position of fav KA books. I can't help but be totally swept away and enthralled in their story every time I crack it open, whether to read the thing cover to cover or revisit favorite scenes.

Tate is awesome in his alpha-ness -- bossy, kinda jerky (but he excels at making that part worth it), but yet, he knows how to protect and provide for his woman. I really connected with Laurie and how she needed to find her special and be herself. The two together are just awesome -- and the world KA wrote around them, I never want to leave - the friends, family, co-workers, the town -- everything!

I'm also very excited and intrigued to get Wood and Maggie's story!!! There's something pretty special there!

Wallflowers Three of a Kind by C.P. Smith

Three of a Kind
This book.... oh, this book! :) It's good. Extraordinarily good.

Very few authors can pull off what CP Smith does for me in each and every book: believable insta-love, swoony alpha heroes, and relatable and loveable heroines.

I loved seeing Cali and Devin fall for each other and overcome the obstacles thrown in their way. I laughed and cried, rejoiced and hurt with them through it all. I was so drawn into the story that I really felt like I became Cali (being a wallflower myself, she and I have similar hearts) and loved being pursued by Devin and finding an inner strength and courage. All the words of wisdom provided from multiple sources touched my heart and encouraged me, too. I was fully lost in the story and so did not want to leave Savanah and Cali and Devin's presence.

Another love for this story: the trio of women who built a friendship to last! There's more than just a love story between Cali and Devin, there's also a friendship love story being built with the 3 women that has a strength and beauty all it's own!

If you're looking for a story that delivers all the feels, gives you depth, and sweeps you off your feet, look no further!

Myra’s Escape by Agnes Alexander

Myra’s Escape
I was looking for a sweet historical story to vanish into for a few hours and this book caught my eye.

I loved the premise of a woman on the run finding herself married to a man and taking care of him and his 4 brothers (a la the classical musical I still adore to this day, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers). The family bond the brothers have, and the way they envelope Myra into their lives was heart-melting. I giggled at the brothers antics and enjoyed getting to know them all and fall for them all just a little.

Anson knew what he wanted in a woman at his ranch but got so much more when his mail order bride showed up. He was a rancher gentleman - rough and strong and protective, but had a gentle, compassionate side. He was exactly what Myra needed in a man just like she was just what he needed in a woman. Myra gave him the feminine softness and presence in his life and home, and showed the promise of the amazing ranch wife she'd become. I loved these two together and how their relationship was easy and how the 'bad guy' story lines just pulled them closer together.

There was alot going on in this story, and surprising twists on how it all plays out. But it all flowed together nicely into one awesome afternoon spent dreamin' in the old west. The charm of this story swept me away and left me with a happy-vibe as the last page turned.

Blake by Maryann Jordan

Blake
Loved the adventure and the twists. Loved the relationship depth and growing. Loved the sweetness. This was an easy to read and escape into, lighthearted adventure/suspense story, which is perfect to experience sometimes. I want the adventure/suspense, but I don't need to be weighed down with heavy things, and this fit that perfectly.
