Anthology: Little Black Dress

Read "Lucy's a Dreamer" by Brynne Asher first - and absolutely fell in love and was charmed by the story! Lucy and Vaughn were meant to be and the fun of the chase after Vaughn caught on was giggle-filled and swoony. Vaughn proved himself to be a quiet(ish) and stand-up rarity of a man and Lucy was quirky-cute along with being easy going.

Abby's Angels is a heart melting and heart pounding story with such precious beauty. Abby and Whit had both a easy marriage, but also one that had heartache too. And unfortunately, space and time drifted them apart. This is the story of them knowing something needs to change, and setting about making that happen. I melted with all the heat and sweet blessings contained here. Plus, it's awesome to get a story of a couple that's living out their hea.

Layla Frost's Winnie Mae was something I totally didn't expect and I loved how it all worked out. Cutsey and spicy, Win and Max have a unique beginning and easy going relationship that makes this a fun and light hearted story.

Kiss me, Katie was a great way to end this little anthology (for me, as I totally read these stories out of order!). Ethan and Katie have worked together for 6mo and both have fallen in love with the other, but didn't want to ruin their working relationship or friendship by admitting anything. Until finally Katie needs a way to deal with her parents and is brave enough to ask for Ethan's help. Super sweet, hot, sexy, and oh so good, these two melted my heart with their connection, spark, and charm.

This is a perfect lazy-Sunday-on-the-deck-in-the-sunshine kinda read - completely easy, fun, and just as hot as the sunshine.

Until Mayhem by Layla Frost

Ophelia and Judge's (I stinkin' love their names) story gave me the feel-goods of a good old fashioned pirate bodice ripper - our hero who skirts the edge of good vs evil with his own code of honor saw his damsel (who, btw, wasn't truly in distress... well, not *all* the time), captured her, and claimed her as his, through whatever means necessary! And Ophelia was no fainting flower! They were the perfect challenge and compliment to the other.

With the exception of us not sharing a violent streak, I really connected to Ophelia - loved her mix of sweet and spicy, strength and femininity. She's strong enough to stick up for herself, but at the same time, smart enough to know how to choose her battles and accept help when it's needed.

Judge with his power, confidence, attitude, honor, and control had me deeply appreciating and admiring (read: almost coveting) his bad-man self (because he was definitely not a bad-boy in any way of thinking). I loved how he was observant of Ophelia and had a mind to her, protecting her, but at the same time, giving her everything she needed.

I loved how this was such a slow tension-filled build up for them but at the same time, they knew there was something huge (that BOOM) between them from the start. Combine that with some genuine laughter filled moments, a touch of a suspense plot line, great cameos from the Maysons and Nox, Until Mayhem quickly became one of my favorite LF stories that I look forward to revisiting again. Definitely worth the late nights and the stolen moments to experience!

Until Nox: Happily Ever Alpha World by Layla Frost

I fell absolutely head-over-heals in love with this story!!

Low on drama/angst and overflowing with heart, Until Nox gave me many of the things I desire most in a story: a hero who's a modern day outlaw-ish good guy (maybe? maybe not? oh, that bad boy thin line he rides!), a heroine who's your every-day kinda girl, strong, but yet soft and sweet, a insta-love story that feels real, and a couple who's basically together from the get-go and can (gasp!) communicate (haha!).

Killian Nox won me over with his attitude, his alpha-confidence, and his respect/consideration of Gus. How he took care of her and respected her just melted me! I'd say more, but, you gotta experience Nox for yourself! *swoon!*

Gus was so stinkin' awesome -- I love her confidence, her determination, her loyalty, her sweetness, her sass, her maturity, and her openness. She made me fall even harder for the story.

Together, they were perfect!

I loved how this tied into the Masons in Tennesse (ARR's Until characters) and we got to see some sweet, beautiful moments with them.

This is definitely not a story to miss out on!! Totally gave my heart all the feel-goods and made it to my favorites shelf. I can't wait to revisit this story!!

Hyde and Seek by Layla Frost

I absolutely adored watching Jake and Piper fall in love and figure things out between them. Jake is swoony yummy and Piper is sweet and cute and I just wanna be her best friend. Or wait... Be her so I can have Jake's focus. (happy sigh).

This is a book I've enjoyed visiting over and over again.
